Configure Custom Backend
By default, TF-controller will use the Kubernetes backend
to store the Terraform state file (tfstate) in the cluster.
The tfstate is stored in a Secret
named "tfstate-${workspace}-${secretSuffix}",
where the default suffix is the name of the Terraform
resource.
You can override this default suffix by setting .spec.backendConfig.secretSuffix
in the Terraform
object. The default workspace name is "default",
but you can also override the workspace by setting .spec.workspace
to a different value.
If you want to use a custom backend, such as GCS or S3,
you can configure it by defining .spec.backendConfig.customConfiguration
in the Terraform
object.
Here is an example of how to use a custom backend with the Terraform
object:

In this example, the Terraform
object is using a custom backend
with a bucket named "s3-terraform-state1" in the "us-east-1" region,
with the key "dev/terraform.tfstate".
